From 'Event' to 'Movement'.
Sport brings together people. Beyond our desire to host the 2030 Centenary Commonwealth Games, our journey in recent years, through a global pandemic, has made us more fully appreciate and embrace the Commonwealth Games Federation’s unique and compelling mission of ‘building peaceful, sustainable and prosperous communities’.
We are therefore resolved to reimagine the 2030 Centenary Commonwealth Games as a catalyst for meaningfully improving the wellbeing of the communities we share through new approaches and partnerships.
As an organizing committee we are particularly inspired by the Federation’s invitation to “attract and build on public, private and social partnerships that widely benefit Commonwealth athletes, sports and communities” in innovative ways.
In order to meaningfully advance the Federation’s Mission and Vision we are resolved to advance an initiative whose goals have global support in a variety of innovative ways. We have therefore chosen to champion the United Nation’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
The Games provide a unique opportunity to bring a diverse group of stakeholders together to boldly work to address these universal goals.
This is more than the Games,
